The scientific study of psychological well-being in adolescence is an attractive area with a promising future, but with a more recent history compared with other psychosocial constructs. A deeper knowledge of this stage of life is vital for the design of prevention programmes which are better adapted to the problems which adolescents may be suffering.The most important limitations on its study today are basically epistemological and relate to the problem of finding common visions (as much in terms of definitions as in terms of explanatory theories), shared by a majority of social researchers. The theories of complexity offer a productive alternative in this respect, since the characteristics in which complexity is grounded are, in fact, the same properties which characterise psychosocial phenomena. And that includes psychological well-being. However, the data available, obtained by means of a cross-sectional study, prevent an approach to psychological well-being from any of the properties of complexity with the exception of the characteristic of non-linearity.Exploring the elements of psychological well-being is one of the approach strategies used in its study. This doctoral thesis has chosen some of those elements which emerge from the scientific literature as being more closely connected with psychological well-being: satisfaction with life as a whole and satisfaction with specific domains in life, self-esteem and perceived social support, perception of control and values. The overall aim has been to use the data obtained to build a model of psychological well-being which would permit this phenomenon to be understood from a more integrated and holistic point of view and, as a consequence, offer a more comprehensive way of approaching the phenomenon. \n\n 0

Del estudio de las fuentes consultadas se pone de manifiesto la existencia de un discurso que tenía como ejes la potenciación y la modernización de la agricultura. A partir de esta constatación se ha construido una hipótesis de trabajo que pretende demostrar que el movimiento agronómico catalán de la Ilustración, a pesar de poseer unos rasgos específicos que lo dotaban de personalidad propia, siguió, tanto desde el punto de vista institucional, humano, como de propuestas tecnológicas, las directrices de su homólogo europeo.\nEl trabajo se divide en tres partos. Después de una primera parte en la que se estudian los precedentes agronómicos del punto de inicio de la investigación se dedica una segunda parte en la que se abordan las cuestiones centrales de la investigación: la institucionalización de la agronomía en la Cataluña ilustrada. La tercera parte analiza y expone las propuestas técnicas y metodológicas que las instituciones y los agrónomos estudiados propugnaron\nLa novedad de este trabajo estriba al poner de relieve la existencia de un movimiento de naturaleza científico-tcnica que se fue producido paralelamente a las transformaciones del campo catalán del XVIII. Un movimiento que, sin ser una especificidad propia de la sociedad catalana del momento, representó todo un estado de opinión y un deseo de transformación desde los presupuestos de la renovación científica y técnica. To become familiar with international experiences of adaptation from legislation in natural areas, biodiversity and natural resources from the principles and agreements of Rio 1992 and Johannesburg 2002.\n3. To present a first basis document, as a recommendation, from the knowledge of other experiences and the debate between guests and participants for the future Llei de biodiversitat i patrimoni natural of Catalonia. With this aim in mind, the Conferences were divided in five blocks and six well-known speakers were invited to explore the topics in each block and, at the same time, take an active part in the definition of the contents of the last block, dedicated to the conclusions. Each speech was summarised, once the speaker had finished, in order to synthesize the most important aspects and to help to the debate, the participation and maximum consensus between the interested parties. Once the speeches had finished, it was the turn of a header representing the main cultural, economical and social agents of the country to bring their knowledge, experiences and worries, taking as a starting point the several speeches in each block. Practical and effective ways public health and other sectoral authorities and advocates can take action to strengthen health literacy in a variety of settings are identified.
